How to Decrypt a PDF?

Introduction

One issue users have had is that an encrypted PDF does not Open or Upload correctly. Depending on the computer system, three methods are outlined below. 

Decrypting a PDF for PC

  1. Open PDF in Adobe, or your web browser.
  2. File, then Print to “Microsoft XPS Document Writer”.
  3. Open the newly printed XPS file.
  4. File, then Print to PDF while in the XPS viewer.
  5. Save the document as a PDF with "[repaired]" added to the end of the file name, and Upload to DocJuris.

Decrypting a PDF for Mac

Using Standard Method

  1. Click on the Document to download it.
  2. Open the document from "Downloads".
  3. If the formatting is irregular, right click the document.
  4. Save the document as a PDF with "[repaired]" added at the end of the file name, and upload to DocJuris.

Decrypting a PDF for Mac with Finder

Using "Open with" Method

  1. Right Click on Document to download it.
  2. Open the document from "Open with finder".
  3. Export the document as PDF.
  4. Save the document as a PDF with "[repaired]" added at the end of the file name, and upload to DocJuris.
